Industrias Metalurgicas del Engranaje, S.L. was founded in the month May 1993 by a group of people with more than 20 years experience in the gearing-manufacturing sector.
The idea of creating the company came about from a necessity to cover a sector that had become vacant in the Madrid region due to the closure of of numerous small and medium sized businesses as a consequence of the financial crises that took place at the end of the 1980's.
Thanks to the combination of its founder's experience and the recruitment of young and well trained workers who, apart receiving theoretical and practical training both abroad as well as in our own workshops, already held a high level of knowledge in the field of new technology, Industrias Metalúrgicas del Engranaje, S.L. slowly began to open doors in the market until it reached its present day workforce that consists of 46 people.
Industrias Metalúrgicas del Engranaje, S.L. manufactures all kinds of gearing, gearboxes and transmissions, straight toothed Gleason type conics and carries out channelled and pivoted brocated work. The company also disposes of cementation and induction ovens and specialises in the industrial and agricultural machiney sector, an area in which it collaborates wery closely with its principal client: John Deere Iberica, S.A. and through whom it is able to export its products to countries such as Germany, France, Canada, The United States or America, etc.

Since its foundation, this entity has invested constantly in order to improve its level of quality (laboratory, metrology), machinery (numeric control spindles, mechanisation centres, cell formations) as well as quality, production, invoicing and management administration computer systems.
Our immediate project for the month of March is to become a totally certified company in the ISO 9002, something we consider of vital importance in order to improve our functionality both on a national and international level.
